چکیده
Abstract The prevalence of type 2 diabetes (T2DM) is higher in peripheral artery disease (PAD) than coronary (CAD) patients, and PAD overall confers cardiovascular risk CAD. purpose this study was to investigate how the incidence major events compares between CAD patients when analyses are stratified by presence (T2DM). We prospectively recorded death over 10.0±4.7 years 923 with stable CAD, whom 26.7% had T2DM 292 PAD, 42.1% T2DM. Four groups were analyzed: without (CAD/T2DM-; n=677), (CAD/T2DM+; n=246), (PAD/T2DM-; n=169) (PAD/T2DM+; n=123). When compared MACE CAD+/T2DM- (25.1%), it significantly CAD+/T2DM+ (35.4%; p<0.001), PAD+/T2DM- (30.2%; p=0.022) PAD+/T2DM+ (47.2%; p<0.001). Patients both turn at a or (p=0.001 p<0.001, respectively). did not differ (p=0.413). Compared Cox regression after multivariate adjustment showed an adjusted hazard ratio 1.46 [1.14–1.87], p=0.002 for PAD. Conversely, increased (adjusted HR 1.58 [1.27–1.98], In conclusion, our data show that mutually independent predictors MACE. exceedingly high FUNDunding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: None.
